Francine Umwiza is a Research Nurse and Study Coordinator and a certified trainer in cervical cancer screening. She has extensive experience working on research studies related to HPV screening, treatment, and HIV, including the coordination of research activities related to universal HIV treatment in Rwanda and a a study on HIV-1 subtype–specific drug resistance in patients failing dolutegravir-based first-, second-, or third-line regimens. She is trained in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including transcription, translation, and the use of Dedoose software.
Francine obtained her MPH from the University of Rwanda.
