Country Principal Investigator
RwandaDr. Gad Murenzi is the Principal Investigator for Central Africa IeDEA in Rwanda. He is responsible for leading scientific research and capacity building activities of the IeDEA Rwanda program. His research interests include HIV, cancer (mainly HPV related cancers) and other NCDs. Based at Research for Development (RD Rwanda) and the Rwanda Military Hospital, Dr. Murenzi currently directs the Einstein-Rwanda Research and Capacity Building Program. Previously, he served as Investigator and Primary Colposcopist of the Cervical Cancer Screening Project and Coordinator of research laboratory development.
Dr. Murenzi completed his medical degree at the National University of Rwanda and did a post-doctoral fellowship in genecologic pathology and cytopathology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York-USA.
