Jeanne Marie Francine Karemera, MD, MPH

Dr. Jeanne Marie Francine Karemera has over 10 years of experience managing, coordinating, and implementing HIV and TB programs. She serves as a Program Director at Population Services International (PSI), where she leads PEPFAR-funded initiatives aimed at achieving HIV epidemic control in Burundi. As an investigator with IeDEA Burundi, Dr. Karemera leads and supports HIV research and works to translate findings into actions to improve patient care and strengthen the public health response. 

Dr. Karemera holds a medical degree from the University of Ngozi, Burundi; an Inter-University Diploma in HIV Care from Paris XIII University and the Burundi National University; and a master’s degree in public health from Aix-Marseille University, France.
