Country Principal Investigator
BurundiDr. Jérémie Biziragusenyuka is the Principal Investigator for Central Africa IeDEA in Burundi and also serves as Program Manager for PEPFAR in Burundi. His research interests center on infectious disease and HIV. He previously managed HIV Programs under Burundi’s Ministries of Health, Defense and Education, and he has extensive experience working with multilateral development partners, including the United Nations, Global Fund, and World Bank, as well as local and international NGOs in humanitarian and post-emergency situations. Previously on faculty at the National Public Health Institute, he has taught and mentored students in virology and immunology.
Dr. Jérémie holds a medical degree from the National University of Burundi and master’s degrees in Infectious Diseases and Public Health from the University of Rennes, France.
