Dr. Ebasone is a physician and graduate of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Buea, Cameroon. Currently a PhD candidate at the University of Capetown, South Africa, his doctoral research is focused on co-morbid cardiometabolic diseases among people living with HIV/AIDS who are enrolled in care at IeDEA sites in Cameroon.
Dr. Ebasone has served as a study coordinator for several research projects including the multinational Comparison of Dual Therapies for Lowering Blood Pressure in Black Africans (CREOLE) trial and the IeDEA linked K01 (Mental Health and HIV) sub-study. As Director of Research Operations, he is responsible for coordinating study activities across IeDEA sites in Cameroon.
His key areas of interest are in NCDs and HIV/AIDs research, genomics, AI, and big data for healthcare.
